Participation

Participation in NABIC could take two forms - Financial and Physical.  Financial participation may come via two ways: Membership and Donation.

As far as  physical. participation goes, one has to remember that for its first 14 years NABIC has been an all-volunteer organization. Starting in late September 2004, NABIC hired its first and only paid staff member. Still, a large amount of NABIC’s activities are facilitated by volunteers, be they in the Board or outside. NABIC would like to intensify its existing work and expand to reflect its missions and its potential. NABIC needs to reach out to people of Bangladeshi heritage in all 50 states of the US as well as in the key cities and provinces of Canada. To do all this in a cost effective manner, NABIC would still need ample help from numerous volunteers.

Some of the various areas of NABIC’s involvement where volunteers would be highly prized may be listed as follows:
1. Production of the newsletter
2. Maintenance of the e-discussion forum
3. Contributing news items to the newsletter and the e-discussion forum
4. Web page maintenance
5. Hosting regional discovery/fund-raising meetings
6. Annual convention arrangement
7. Convention Souvenir preparation
8. Advertisement collection and formatting
9. Providing good up-to-date digital pictures for updating NABIC’s Photo gallery
